Character Creation Guide and Template

The following guide was created to help you through the character template.

General
Full Name: Your character's full name.
Nicknames: Not all characters will have a nickname, but they might. What do their friends call them?
Profession: our character probably has a job. What did they do to get the job? Do they enjoy doing it? Did they get fired?
Gender: Easy enough, right?
Demeanour: A few words that best describe your character.


Appearance
Eyes: What color are their eyes? How are they shaped? Do they affect people?
Hair: What color is their hair? Do they wear it in a particular style? What's its texture?
Age: A very important part of your character. What's your character age in years? In behavior? In looks?
Birthmarks or Scars: This can make your character just a little more different than others. Where did the scars come from? Does the birthmark have a significant meaning to your character? Do they show the marks to others?
Predominant Feature: What's the first thing a person will notice about your character? Small eyes? Large ears?
Build: The physical frame of your character. Tall, short? Fat, thin? Flexible? Muscular? Weak?
General Appearance: The bulk of your character's physical appearance. This is how a stranger will see your character. What clothes do they usually wear? Do they wear jewelry? How is their posture?


Personality
Likes: A few of your character's favorite things such as color, hair style, food, etc.
Dislikes: Similar to likes, but list what your character hates.
Goals: Your character's goals. What do they want to achieve in life? Do they have any short-term goals? Long-term?
Strengths: Keeping your character's strengths and weaknesses balanced is important. Strengths can be personality strengths (trustworthy, charismatic), physical strengths (strong, enduring), strengths from their profession (good cook, handy) or anything else you can think of.
Weaknesses or Flaws: Try to balance off your character's strengths with weaknesses. Don't make small weaknesses such as "doesn't like flowers". Like strengths, your character can have personality flaws (mean, untrustworthy), physical weaknesses (little energy, slow) or anything else you can think of.
General Personality: The meat of your character's personality. When someone first meets your character, what will they notice about your character's personality? How do they act around others? What is their outlook on life?

Background
General History: Where does your character come from? How did they become who they are today? How did they develop as a person? Where did they get their talents? This is an important section of your character's information as the more you know about your own character, the better you'll roleplay.
