The Yimkel are the only sentient beings on Sernou. They are tall with elongated heads that stretch vertically, giving them a commanding demeanor. They take much price in themselves and their achievements, leading them to becoming a plutocracy. Yimkel are extremely intelligent and have an extraordinarily acute sense of hearing.

History

Sernou is a marshy planet orbiting the gas giant Maryyndusk. The only species to become sentient here was the Yimkel, and they now rule the small planet with great pride. When currency was first used on Sernou, the people became fascinated with it and money soon became the most sought-after possession on the planet.

Once Sernou came in contact with other civilizations, they discovered that the outsiders enjoyed the local cuisine and were willing to pay high amounts for the exotic dishes. Thus, Sernou became famous for its food and drink and many Yimkel went into the culinary field.

Achievements

The Yimkelese culinary masters have created many strange and wonderful things including the outrageously popular Athral Moonrise, a very strong drink that many tourists indulge in.
